Add SOW and BOE to a task

Before adding SOW and BOE text to tasks, Link SOW/BOE To in the Configuration proposal settings must be set to Task.

If the SOW/BOE text is linked to the proposal breakdown structure (PBS) level instead of the task level, then the SOW and BOE buttons above the grid on the Estimates page will be unavailable.

Add SOW

1. On the Estimates page, select a task in a PBS element.
2. Above the grid, click SOW.
3. In the text editor, do either of the following:
   • Create the SOW text from scratch.
   • Click to import text from a Microsoft Word .docx file.
   • Click to open the PBS element's SOW text, then copy information from it to the task.
4. Under the text editor, you can attach files to the SOW. Click Select file or drop the file in the designated area (Optional).
5. Click to save your SOW text.

Add BOE

1. On the Estimates page, select a task in a PBS element.
2. Above the tasks, click BOE.
3. In the text editor, do either of the following:
   • Create the BOE text from scratch.
   • Modify the text provided by the proposal's default BOE text template.
   • Click to import text from a Microsoft Word .docx file.
4. Under the text editor, you can attach files to the BOE. Click Select file or drop the file in the designated area (Optional).
5. Click to save your BOE text.
