Add SOW and BOE to a PBS element

Before adding BOE text to proposal breakdown structure (PBS) elements, Link SOW/BOE To in the Configuration proposal settings must be set to PBS.

If the SOW/BOE is linked to the task level instead of the PBS level, you can still add an SOW to PBS elements, but you cannot add a BOE.

Add SOW

1. On the Estimates page, select a PBS element.
2. Above the PBS, click SOW.
3. In the text editor, do either of the following:
   • Create the SOW text from scratch.
   • Click to import text from a Microsoft Word .docx file.
   • Click to open the proposal text, then copy information from it to the PBS element.
   • Click to open the parent PBS element’s SOW text, then copy information from it to the element you selected. (This option is available when adding text to a child PBS element).
4. Under the text editor, attach files to the SOW. Click Select file or drop the file in the designated area (Optional).
5. Click to save your SOW.

Add BOE

1. On the Estimates page, select a PBS element.
2. Above the PBS, click BOE.
3. In the text editor, do either of the following:
   • Create the BOE text from scratch.
   • Modify the text provided by the proposal's default BOE text template.
   • Click to import text from a Microsoft Word .docx file.
4. Under the text editor, attach files to the BOE. Click Select file or drop the file in the designated area (Optional).
5. Click to save your BOE.
